ALAN KROPP & ASSOCIATES, INC

Employment

We have an immediate need for staff, project, and senior level engineers to work on a wide variety of geotechnical investigation and construction projects including schools, landslide repairs, residences, and private developments. Ideal candidates would have a MS in geotechnical engineering and one to six years of increasingly responsible experience with a local geotechnical consulting firm. Professional registration and/or GIS experience is also desirable. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of an established local firm with excellent growth potential. Interested individuals should contact Jim Lott at 510-841-5095 or jlott@akropp.com. All inquiries will remain confidential.

We take great pride in our hiring and training of young graduates from the University of California at Berkeley, Cal Poly, and other top-tier engineering schools. AKA has also strategically hired highly experienced geotechnical professionals that share the firm’s dedication to quality geotechnical engineering and client service. Our in-house training programs focus on engineering fundamentals and technical excellence. We actively encourage continuing education and professional development for all staff members.

Alan Kropp is a mentor to AKA’s professional staff. Alan is active in many professional organizations including the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and frequently presents lectures and papers at seminars and conferences. Due to Alan’s leadership, our outside studies, and independent reading of technical materials, we are able to provide state-of-the-art geotechnical methods, where appropriate.
